To concenteratre on training, where would you start?

I think that the most important place to start are the issues that I mentioned. I think that we have to look at issues related to recovery time being built in. How do we optimize or maximize recovery? What are we doing to supplement our training with things like strength training - high load low repetition. I don't really think that the concept of gaining muscular endurance in the gym is pertinent because you will gain muscular endurance while you are out doing your activity. I think that our challenge is to go into the gym and change the architecture or integrity of the tissue and that requires high load and few repetitions. As I mentioned, interval work is also critical to all of this in terms of building capacity.
