The presenters scientific research-based approach was very interesting, comprehensive, and educational. I wish my PT supervisor was sitting beside me so I could repeatedly nudge him every time a point was made about how loss of control and autonomy leads to less job satisfaction and devaluation of my role as a healthcare professional and demotivates me to want to do quality work. I do quality work for myself and my patients despite management involvement, not because of it. They don't get it.

Addressed issues of burnout that are prevalent in healthcare but a lot of the changes to improve are from a management stand point. There have also been a lot of changes post Covid.

The information about causes of dissatisfaction were repeated numerous times w/ minimal time spent on how to actually affect, or create change. This course felt like a 1 hour course drug out to two hours. It would have been helpful and hopeful to hear first hand accounts of how organizations were persuaded, and actually achieved change in employee satisfaction. The speaker even had no expwrience? The exam questions were worded excessively difficult from a vocabulary stand point, hard to understa

I work in the outpatient setting, so not all of the course was applicable to my sector. However, I found it very intriguing to consider the factors of burnout, ways to mitigate this, and the idea of high impact work on physical therapists. Thank you for this course as a reflection to our daily hussle and bussle!

integrating all of the potential contributing factors both intrinsic and extrinsic in nature. And the need to self reflect personally with personal value systems. You mentioned the need for therapist to feel they were using there high level skill set (you stated it much better). Wish you could have elaborated more on how the Doctorate of PT mindset/advanced education has influenced satisfaction with the need for basic skilled PT. (lack of feeling challenged?)

Presenter only has 5 years work experience in a single venue, which he admits is in his home town. I found it difficult to accept several of his statements, such as "I think this is true in all settings" when he has zero experience outside of acute care. I'd suggest re-naming the title of this presentation to include Acute Care, and not Healthcare.
