Dr. Susan Davis is an internationally recognized Physical Therapist with over 40 years of clinical experience. She is a graduate of Northwestern University PT and Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science t DPT programs. Her clinical experience includes 30 years with human patients in acute care hospitals and her own outpatient private practice. Since 2008, Dr. Davis is working exclusively with non-human animals, after having completed coursework and training in canine rehabilitation. She provides onsite Physical Therapy to animals (including dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, farm animals, exotics, and wildlife) where they live, in clinics, animal shelters, farms, and zoos, as well as virtual telehealth consultation with pet owners. Dr. Davis is a member of APTA and IAVRPT(International Association for Veterinary Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy). Dr. Davis is the author of two published books and a blog on PT for Animals, directed toward the pet owner. She is the primary author of a research study on medial patellar luxation in dogs and small cats and developed a manual 3D patellar relocation technique. She presented a case study on phantom scratching in atlantoaxial instability for IAVRPT and taught two prior CEU courses on PT in the veterinary domain. Her inherent love of animals and desire to promote active, healthy living shines clearly through her work and presentations.
