Learning Outcomes
- After this course, participants will be able to evaluate how to determine if a child is having a sensory-based meltdown and how to utilize evidence-based sensory modulation strategies to prevent or reduce episodes.
- After this course, participants will be able to apply self-monitoring approaches to enhance self-regulation with sensory-based interventions as a bottom-up approach and utilize Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS) as an outcome measure to promote self-regulation connected with functional outcomes.
- After this course, participants will be able to analyze top-down vs. bottom-up self-regulation approaches and how to integrate sensory strategies and intervention approaches identified within a case study format.
