Learning Outcomes
- Participants will be able to identify at least three symptoms and presentations of the patient with COVID-19 in the home health setting.
- Participants will be able to identify at least three physical assessment strategies to quantify deficits and strengths in body functions (based on likely symptom manifestation, record review, and subjective history of appropriate tests and outcome measures for patients with COVID-19).
- Participants will be able to describe at least three aspects to a comprehensive plan of care for a patient in home health with COVID-19.

Rachel is a licensed PT with 20 years of clinical and management experience in home health, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient settings. She is currently the Owner and President of Botkin Rehab Services, LLC. She earned her Advanced Competency in Home Health in 2017 and authored an elective module on neurological rehab in the home for the course. She became board certified in Neurological Physical Therapy in 2005. She has been an adjunct faculty member at Clark State Community College, teaching neurological rehab to PTA students since 2008. She is a member of the APTA, Home Health, Geriatrics, and Neurological Sections where she serves on the home health practice committee and co-authored the Home Health Toolbox for Outcome Measures

Pamela Bartlo
PT, DPT, CCS
Pam received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Daemen College and then her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from D’Youville College. Pam has been a Board-Certified Specialist in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary PT since 2005. Her clinical experience focuses on cardiovascular and pulmonary care but has also included experience in the rehab of adults with neurologic system impairments. Since 2004, Pam has been a full-time faculty, most recently joining Daemen University in Buffalo, NY, with primary teaching responsibilities in cardiovascular and pulmonary rehab, research seminars, and clinical fieldwork. Her research has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. National presentations include presentations at numerous APTA’s CSM conferences, the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and the national conference for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD). Pam is also the Vice President of the APTA’s Academy of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy.
