Dr. Miles has been a home care clinician for 20 years with previous experience in outpatient and acute care. She is an adjunct professor in the department of rehabilitation at the University of Hartford where she lectures about dementia and assists in the gerontology course for second-year doctoral students. Dr. Miles works on person-centered care projects with the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement multidisciplinary team at McLean Health Care in Simsbury, CT and is a per diem PT at LiveWell, a leading dementia care facility in Southington, CT. As a member of the APTA Academy of Geriatrics, Dr. Miles is a clinical liaison for the Cognitive and Mental Health special interest group and she is also the Connecticut state advocate.
